Scene V Part II


John and Dmitri were in their apartment trying to get feeling back into their mouths after Pete spiked their drinks with capsaicin. Outside the shuttles were planning on how to get payback on Pete and Riker. They told Voyager everything and soon he wanted to get payback too. “So what do you have in mind?” asked Voyager. “Well we can always blast them with my lasers” says Discovery with her lasers deployed. “There’s an idea” said Enterprise. “Or you can do it our way” said John coming out of the apartment. “John” said Disco rolling over to him “how are you doing?” “My mouth is still sort of numb but that will dissipate over time.” Just then Dmitri comes out of the apartment with two steel chairs. “Riker has been punished enough. After all he was blasted by Voyager and you and even ran smack dab into Voyagers deflector dish” said John chuckling. Just then they heard a painful yelp coming from the mess hall. The group looks over to see Pete running out of the building with Delta and Janeway biting at him. He was fixing to reach his car till Delta poked him with her nose and Janeway chomped down on a pants leg. “Let go of me you little.” The pant leg rips and he goes flying backwards into his car. Janeway spits out the pants leg and Delta and Janeway then lunges at him again. He dodges them but Delta’s nose goes right into the car’s tire causing it to go flat. She pulls her nose out of the tire and then rolls up to Janeway. “Do you know how long it takes to change a tire on that car?!” yells Pete. Both pups gave a low growl and then began chasing him again. He runs into an office and slams the door shut. Both pups rammed the door but weren’t able to break it down. They then began to teeth the door but it was much too strong for them. They then went back to the group and the shuttles. Janeway rolls under Enterprise with a frown on her face. Delta then rolls up to John and rubs up against his leg. John bends down and pets her side. “Looks like they have taken care of him for us” says Dmitri. Discovery and Enterprise then kneeled down and rubbed Janeway with their noses. Her frown quickly disappears and she smiles at them. “Well it’s been fun but I have to dock over on ‘Fleet Row’” said Voyager. Janeway then rolls out and looks up at the massive ship. “What’s ‘Fleet Row’”? she asked. “’Fleet Row’ is where Starfleet’s warships are kept. That is where we wait on call” he explained. He then takes off and heads for that part of the base. “Well I don’t know about you but I think that’s enough excitement for one day” said John. “Agreed, now what should we do about Pete and Riker?” asked Dmitri. John, the shuttles, and the pups then begin to brain storm what they could do to get back at them. “Dmitri, didn’t we receive a welcome home package from command when we returned?” asked John. “Yes? They gave us rocket fuel, junk food, provisions, and a……ohohohoh. I know where you’re getting at.” “What? What do you two have in mind?” asked Discovery. “Oh you will find out tomorrow. Right now we need to get some sleep. It has been a very busy day” said John. John and Dmitri then went into their apartment, followed by Delta and Janeway. Enterprise followed Discovery into her hanger and they just talked through the night about what the guys might have in mind. The dogs stayed outside through the night to make sure that Riker wouldn’t setup another speaker. At the first sight of Riker the dogs would bark and get the shuttles attention.
Morning finally came and Riker was out doing some random flying. Discovery and Enterprise fell asleep and they were woken up when Riker buzzed their hanger. Both shuttles then went outside and looked up to see Riker making fun of them. “I see that the overgrown Advil pills are up. Hahaha.” The shuttles gave a very loud growl but Riker was still not afraid. Just then John kicks the apartment door open and he had a pipe looking thing on his shoulder. “HEY RIKER BOY, DODGE THIS”. John then took aim at Riker with it. Riker’s radar went mad when John aimed the pipe at him. “YOU’RE NUTS” he screamed as he took off into the distance. The pipe that John was aiming was a trainer missile. They used it to train F-14s to dodge heat seeker missiles. The missile behaves just like a stinger missile but has a dummy warhead. John took aim at Riker and the little computer said “missile locked on target”. John fired the missile and it fly straight at Riker. Riker flew fast enough to stay in front of the missile. Both John, Dmitri, the pups, and the shuttles then watched as Riker flew back and forth trying to get away from the missile.  He was flying all over the place, trying to avoid the missile. He flew through the Vehicle Assembly Building, through launching towers, and even through ‘Fleet Row’. He was running out of energy and fuel but he still didn’t want to get hit. Just then he felt something touch his tail. He looks back and goes wide-eyed. The missile was touching the tip of his tail. “NO” he screams has the missile then makes full impact on his tail, forcing him to land. He then realizes that the missile wasn’t a missile at all. It was a trainer missile. He looks at the group, who were rolling on the floor laughing. He gives a very angry look at them and takes the missile and breaks it into tiny pieces.  “You think you had the last laugh?!?!? I will get you back for this.” He then goes storming off to his hanger. Pete finally came out of the vacant office and then surveyed his car’s tire. “Those little bratty pups, they are just as bad as their parents.” He then sees Riker going into his hanger. Pete can hear Riker grumbling about being shot by a fake missile. Pete then goes into Riker’s hanger. Riker turns and faces Pete.  “Care to get a little payback?” he asks. “Nothing will thrill me more than to get back at those guys and those flying tin cans” says Riker. “Well then. I might have something in mind that will get them back pretty good” says Pete. “Oh? What do you have in mind?” Pete then went over and told Riker his plane. A smile then appeared on Riker’s face and he gave a chuckle. “Aw, that is wrong but that would be sweet payback.” They then waited for the perfect opportunity to do the deed. That night they had the perfect opportunity. John’s dogs were transferred to the main base for more training, so they weren’t there. The guys were fast asleep, along with the shuttles. Pete and Riker then sneaked to the back of the apartment and hangers without waking them up. Pete then disconnected some plumbing and shoved something into the pipe. Riker then used his landing gear to wedge it into the pipe. Pete then reconnects the pipe and lets it do its work. Riker and Pete soon left, snickering about what they just did. Inside the group was sound asleep. While Janeway and Delta was sleeping, their noses then begin to sniff the air. They woke up and had a disgusted look on their faces. They nudged John awake and soon he also had a disgusted look on his face too. “Oh goodness me what is that smell?” said John. He gets up and gets Dmitri awake. They then started to try to track down the smell. They went to the bathrooms to find out that they have backed up. The sewer system backed up into the guys apartment. Brown sludge started to fill the sink and the shower. It stopped just as it was fixing to go over the sides. “Oh goodness the sewer backed up” said Dmitri. “How on earth did they back up in the first place? The system was upgraded last week” said John. Soon they heard bubbling coming from the sink as air bubbles were now coming out. “First things first dude. We need to get out of here. It reeks really badly in here” said Dmitri. “Agreed” replied John. The pups and the guys then come bursting into Discovery’s hanger. She and Enterprise were in there just talking till they fell asleep. They were woken up when they heard the guys getting up and finding the unpleasant surprise. John quickly closes the door behind the group. Discovery’s and Enterprise’s hanger had their own ventilation and air conditioning; for their hangers were built way before the guys apartment. So they were separated from the apartment and the smell couldn’t travel. “What is it? What’s happened?” asked Enterprise. “We don’t know. All of a sudden the sewer just backed up into our building. We don’t know how it happened. The only thing that I can think of that could have caused this is if something blocked the main pipe” said John. John and Dmitri then looked at each other and then to the shuttles. John rolled his eyes back and Dmitri grabbed a wrench from a tool box. They then went to the back of the hanger and got the pipe disconnected. John pulls out a flashlight and looks down. Both of the guys see the object. “There is no reason for that to be in there” said John. “Nope, no reason at all” replied Dmitri “now, how do we get it out?” Discovery rolls up behind them and looks down the pipe and sees the object. “Dmitri please take a step back. John please hold that light steady” she asks. Dmitri takes a step back and Discovery then rolls over the pipe. She deploys her lasers and angles one of them down the pipe. She then took careful aim and adjusted her laser to the right power setting. She fires and destroys the object without damaging the pipe. “Well that took care of the clogging problem. Now we have to fumigate out the smell and flush the system. That is going to take a couple of days. Now for the pressing matter, we need to find out who did this?” said John. “Really John? Did you really just ask that?” said Disco. “Oh………….right” replied John. They then heard laughing coming from Riker’s hanger, they looked to see Riker and Pete laughing their heads off. Discovery and Enterprise gives a low growl and John and Dmitri had to hold back the pups to keep them from going over and getting hurt. The guys managed to get the shuttles and the pups to calm down. They then went back to Discovery’s hanger and discussed what they could do as payback. “That was devious of them to do that. The smell is unbearable and it’s going to take a couple of days to get rid of it” said Dmitri. “Well then, we will be happy to let you two stay in our hangers till the smell dissipates from your apartment” said Disco. Enterprise nods in agreement. “Thank you, you two that’s really kind of you. Now, what should we do about Riker and Pete?” As soon as John said this, Disco hands him a hockey mask and Enterprise a chainsaw. “Oh now that’s just mean” said John with a smirk on his face. They then waited till dark to hatch their plan into action. Pete left to go home and Riker was up till midnight watching something on the TV. Outside Enterprise opened Riker’s hanger window very quietly. Riker never hears anything. Dmitri was next to the fuse box and was ready on his end. John puts on the hockey mask and gets the chainsaw ready. Disco carefully picks John up and gets ready. Enterprise signaled Dmitri to cut the power and Dmitri hits the switch making Riker’s hanger lose power. Inside Riker was a little annoyed by losing his hanger’s power. “Oh great, just great, you think that Starfleet can afford a decent power station if they can afford to build those massive ships” he grumbled to himself. Discovery gently maneuvers John through the open window and sets him on the ground. She then retracts her cargo arm and closes the window. Very quietly he gets in front of Riker without him seeing him. “Is somebody there?” said Riker hearing footsteps. John was close enough to see the whites in Riker’s eyes. He stomps his foot and Riker turns and faces John. He then turns on his gear lights and John turns on the chainsaw and wields it over his head. “WWWWHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRR” went the chainsaw. “AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” screamed Riker. He then starts running around his hanger until he finally busts down his hanger’s door and took off into the distance. “That was sweet” said John coming out of the hanger. “Hahahaha you scared him good” said Disco. Dmitri restored power to the hanger and soon got the doors repaired. They then went back to their hangers satisfied. The shuttles then lowered down to let the guys get inside them. They then got comfortable in the pilot’s seat and fell asleep. Janeway and Delta fell asleep in Discovery’s cargo bay. They had a plan to get back at Pete but they had to wait till morning.
The shuttles woke up bright and early and looked out to see Pete just getting out of his car. They shook the guys awake and John fell out of the crew hatch before Discovery could lower down. “You really got to stop doing that” said Disco. “Sorry really bad habit” said John upside down. Dmitri gets out of Enterprise and helps John back up. “Come on its payback time” said Dmitri handing him a steel chair. Enterprise grabs it “hold on. Disco and I have a much better idea.” Enterprise then gives the chair back to Dmitri and he puts them back. “What do you two have in mind?” says Dmitri. Disco then opens her cargo hold and gives John what looks like a ketchup bottle. “Ketchup? You’re going to get him back with ketchup?” Discovery gives a chuckle. “Take a sniff”. John opens the top and takes a sniff. His eyes then begin to water and he closes the top. “Oh my……*gasp* that is Insanity sauce; the hottest hot sauce on the planet. I can handle Trinidad Moruga Scorpion peppers but this stuff will make even the most diehard pepper eating person running for water. Disco is the only one that I know of that can handle the both of them at the same time.” When John was finished; Disco hands him a bag of what looks like powder. “Is this what I think it is?” he asks Disco. A huge smile comes across her face and nods yes. “This is going to be fun” said Dmitri looking at the powder. They then rushed to the mess hall just as Pete was getting food. He grabs a ketchup bottle and sits down. Dmitri sits on the other side of him and begins a conversation with him. John very quickly swaps out the ketchup bottle and puts some of the powder on his food. Dmitri quickly leaves before Pete began eating. The guys then sits down at the far end of the table with Discovery and Enterprise. They watched as Pete puts the ‘ketchup’ on his food and then starts to eat his food. The results were instant and he begins to sweat. He then takes a drink but that didn’t help at all. Soon his mouth was on fire and he rushed for the nearest bathroom faucet. He then turns it on and tries to drink as much water as he can. He comes out a couple of minutes later, his shirt drenched, and his mouth numb. He then looks over to see Discovery eating Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Peppers with the Insanity Sauce on it. “Hey John you got to try this, it’s actually not that bad.” “No thanks Discovery. I’m good” he then takes a drink of his coffee. Pete gives a grunt and storms out of the mess hall. “I wander what he is so hot about?” said Enterprise. The group soon cracked up into full scale laughter. Pete hears them laughing and gives a scowl in return. He was heading for his car when he heard somebody trying to get his attention. He looks to see Riker motioning him to his hanger. Riker returned while the guys were pranking Pete. “That’s it!! No more mister nice guy” says Riker. “I’ve got a plan that will give them something that they will never forget”. “What do you have in mind?” asks Pete. Riker then shows Pete what he had in mind. Riker had two full drums of pure capsaicin. “Today Discovery is going into space to do some maintenance on the Hubble telescope and she is going to have a little extra something in her fuel.” “Riker, you are a devious little shuttle aren’t you?” said Pete with a grin. Riker just gives an evil chuckle. “Come on let’s get these ready”. Riker and Pete then moves the drums to the Vehicle Assembly Building and loads the pure capsaicin into Discovery’s external fuel tank. They soon left satisfied about what is fixing to happen.
It was time for Discovery to be launched into space. John got into his space suit and then enters the building. He entered into the building to see Discovery doing acrobats inside the building. “Excited to go into space Discovery?.......uh oh” he then sees Discovery swoop down and picks him up with her wing. “DISCO” says John excitedly. He was holding on with all of his strength. She continued to do acrobatics inside the building. She then landed on the floor and she kneels down to let John get off. He walks around a little dizzy and then loses his balance. Disco help him on his feet with her cargo arm. “Hehehe sorry John I just really like doing that just before going into space.” She was then hosted upwards and the rockets and the external tank attached. She was then lowered down onto a mobile launcher vehicle and she began her slow crawl to the launching tower. After about ten minutes Discovery was getting impatient. “Will this thing go any faster?!? I’m going mad just going this slow”. “Hold on I’m going to try something”. She could feel the crawler going very very slowly. She then heard some clanking sounds and soon the crawler was gaining speed. “Now we will be there in one hour” says John. “What did you do to make this snail of a vehicle go faster?” “You’ll be amazed what warp plasma would do to a combustion engine” said John holding an empty bottle. One hour later they arrived at the launch tower. Disco then sees pipes being attached to the rocket boosters and the external fuel tank. Both of them failed to realize that the liquid rocket fuel was being mixed with the pure capsaicin that Riker had put in earlier. Another hose was then offered to Discovery. She puts it into her mouth and soon she began to fill up on liquid rocket fuel. She spits the hose out when she had her fill. “That stuff never tastes old” she said with a smile. She then hears the familiar sound of the elevator being raised and John getting off. John opens her crew hatch and gets in. Discovery closes the hatch and seals it. John then climbs into her pilot’s seat and straps in. “Disco, you ready for this?” “John, I’m always ready for this” she replied.
Thirty minutes later, both of them heard over the radio “countdown commenced five minutes to launch.” Discovery could hear John controlling his breathing and getting ready for takeoff. Enterprise, Dmitri, and the pups watched from an observation tower. It finally reached the final seconds. “10…..9…..8…..7…….6…….5 primary engines are a go”. When Discovery ignited her engines she lets out a scream. “AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH MY ENGINES. IT BURNS. AAAHHHH.” John was inside listening to Disco in pain. “Discovery, I’m aborting.” John was fixing to abort till Discovery stopped him. “Aahhh NO ABORT I can handle it.” “Are you sure, Disco?” “Yes, I’m positive. I can take it.” Discovery was fighting the pain in her engines and soon she started to lift off. She closed her eyes and grinned her teeth as she got higher and higher. Her engines burning hotter and hotter making the pure capsaicin burn her more. She soon reached the sphere and she jettisons the boosters and the tank. She felt some relief when she turned off her engines. She then rotates and begins to orbit earth. John gets his helmet on and goes outside to survey her engines. He could hear Discovery groaning a little bit as her engines burned her still. He touched just a small section of her engine and she flinches a little bit. “They still feel like they are burning me.” John then floats to the front of her and rubbed her nose. It did take her mind off of her engines and was just enjoying the attention. “John to Voyager” “Voyager here” “I need you up here, we are coming back down but Discovery can’t use her engines” “I’m on my way”. Voyager then takes off and heads for Discovery’s location. She then looks at John. “John I have never failed nor aborted a mission, and I’m not going to start now.” She then fires her maneuvering thrusters and John grabbed onto her wing. She approaches the satellite and comes to a stop. She and John began to repair the satellite and soon they were finished. Disco puts it back in its orbit and sent it on its way. Fifteen minutes later they saw Voyager approaching. He then flies in front of them and opens his shuttle bay. He uses a tractor beam to get her inside. She was gently set down on the deck and the tractor beam was disengaged. Voyager then lowers something from the ceiling that sent Discovery into a fury. It was an engine cover. She hated those things so much. They were big, bulky, and heavy to her and always hated to wear them. “John, do not put one of those on me. I never ever liked them. They are big and heavy. If you put that on me, I will not hesitate to tear it apart”. “Disco, this is no ordinary engine cover. This is made out of a special carbon fiber that is ninety percent lighter than the ones that were mounted on you, and they are able to have fuel mix circulate in them. I put this on you and the mixture will sooth your engines. I promise.” Discovery was still a little skeptical about it but she trusted John. She moves into position and collapses to the deck from exhaustion. John puts on the engine cover and Discovery moved around a little but really doesn’t feel it. Hoses were connected to the engine cover and soon she felt relief. John moves to the front of her. “The mixture that is circulating through there is rocket fuel and ointment. I trust that is providing relief?” She then looks at him with heavy relief in her eyes and just nods yes. He then rubs her nose as the ointment fuel massages her engines. “Ooohhhh that feels soo much better” she says. Soon Voyager then heads back down to the surface. He soon lands and beams John and Discovery off. Discovery then looked back at her engines and they felt just like new. The engine cover was left back on board. The rest of the group runs up to them. Delta jumps into John’s arms and Janeway rubs against her mother’s front tires. “Mommy are you ok?” she said with big eyes looking up at her. She kneels down and gently rubs her. “Yes, sweetie, I’m doing fine”. Dmitri comes up to John. “We found the remains of the external fuel tank and annualized the fuel. It was mixed with pure capsaicin.” “Why am I not surprised?” says John. “Maybe it’s time to fight fire with fire” says Enterprise. “What do you have in mind?” says Dmitri. Enterprise then opens his cargo bay up and pulls out a drum full of pure capsaicin. He hands it to John. “Riker is going to be launched today. Be sure he gets that from me will you?” Enterprise then gently rubs against Discovery and takes her back to her hanger. She had enough for one day. She collapses on the floor, Enterprise lies next to her, and Janeway jumps and lands in Discovery’s head. She curled up into a ball and fell asleep. John and Dmitri then found Riker’s Saturn V rocket that he was going to use. They then put the capsaicin into his fuel and ran off. A couple of hours later, the guys were playing chess in Discovery’s hanger to keep an eye on her. The next thing they hear is the Saturn rocket igniting and Riker screaming. “Hmm. Sounds like Riker is taking off…checkmate” says John. “Indeed, and good move” says Dmitri. About five hours later Riker returns to his hanger sort of crying for his engines were killing him. Pete wouldn’t help him out so he was left to suffer. John was a big teddy bear; he hated to see anybody in pain; even if they were jerks. He takes a towel and soaks it in the special ointment fuel mix. He then takes it out and takes it over to Riker. Riker had his back to him and never sees him coming in. John puts the towel over the worst part of his engines. Riker then feels relief. He turns to see John just leaving and the towel in his engine. He was shocked at what just happened. He turns to see John closing the door behind him. John returns to the hanger to see Discovery just staring back at him. John just sits down at the table not saying a word. The silence was broken when the hanger’s phone rang. John walks over and picks it up. “Hello?..........yes of course. We will prepare immediately.” John then hangs up the phone and looks at Discovery. “You and I are going back up into space. There is a satellite in deep space that is out of control and must be repositioned. Do you think you’re up for it?” Discovery gets back on her wheels. “When do we launch?” “We launch in four days. For now rest, you and I are going to need it.” Discovery didn’t argue on the rest part. Her engines were still sort of hurting a little. Enterprise and Dmitri just looked at each other confused at what John had just done. Riker was just outside the hanger and he heard about the mission. He wanted to show the shuttles that he can do more than just fly up to the ISS and deliver crew and cargo. He goes back to his hanger and begins to think how to get to that satellite before Discovery could get there first. He then realizes that in three days, he will be launched himself to deliver parts for the ISS. He also remembers that the orbit shuttles had their own warp pods up at the station so they can go into deep space themselves. A smile comes across his face and then he begins to come up with a plan.
Three days later, Riker’s flight commander got him ready. He sits on the launch pad ready to go to the ISS. Riker then hears the countdown and soon his rocket was ignited and he was launched into space. He then reaches cruising altitude and he jettisons his rocket. Ten hours later he docks with the ISS. As he was docked, he waited for the perfect opportunity to snag a pair of warp pods. He waited patiently for two hours till his time came. An orbiter named Constitution requested a pair of the pods and soon a pair of pods was detached from the station and was heading for the Constitution. “Here my chance” said Riker under his breath. He then detaches from the station much against the orders of his commander. “Riker, what on earth are you doing? I didn’t order you to detach from the station.” Riker didn’t care, he just wanted to show the shuttles that he is capable of much more than what he was doing. He intercepts the pods before they could attach to Constitution. “Hey!! What they? What do you think you’re doing?” said the confused orbiter. “Thanks, I’ve always wanted to try these” says Riker as the pods attached to him. He then sets coordinates for the satellite. “Don’t do it, whoever you are. You haven’t been trained to use those” says the orbiter. Riker didn’t care, he then engaged the engines and soon he entered warp. Constitution then radios back to Kennedy Space Center and tells them what happened. Chief David then gets on the radio. “Riker, this is Chief David, I’m ordering you to disengage immediately. Those pods have been designed for orbiters. You will not be able to control them.” “Relax Chief, I can handle this.” Just then Riker could feel the pods start to warm up and start to go faster than he wanted. They started to hum louder and louder. “Oh no, I might have a problem up here” says Riker back to base. Chief David then sounds the emergency alarm. He then calls John and Dmitri to the control room. “You two need to go up there and rescue Riker. The pods are not jettising and he is losing control. If he doesn’t get control soon, the pods will explode taking him with it. Get up there and see what you can do.” The guys soon left the tower to see the shuttles already to go. “He might be a jerk but he doesn’t deserve that” says Enterprise. “Now then how are we going to get up there in a hurry? By the time we get mounted on our rockets, its might be too late” says Discovery. “Easy. We are going to need a starship” says Dmitri. Just then a large shadow was casted on them. “Did somebody say they needed a ride?” said Voyager. “Voyager, excellent timing” says John. Voyager then beams the group on board. He beams the shuttles into the shuttle bay ad they begin to fill up on rocket fuel. Dmitri heads for the armory and grabs a phaser rifle. He then heads back to the shuttle bay. John was on the bridge so he can monitor Riker’s condition. Voyager then took off and started to head into space. He soon passed the ISS and John tracked the pods ion trail; the trail that the pods leave behind. John lays in a course and soon Voyager goes into warp right behind Riker. John opens a com channel to the shuttle bay. “Ok listen up. We are about thirty minutes behind Riker and he is having a difficult time controlling the pods. They will be going critical in forty minutes. We cannot use Voyager’s phasers for they are way too powerful even on the lowest setting. The phasers will cause the pods to go critical and explode. Discovery, you will use your lasers to shoot off the right pod while Dmitri shoots off the other one with the phaser rifle. Both pods will need to be shot off at the exact same time or else the stresses on one side could rip him apart” explains John. Voyager then interrupts “oh no, John I’m going to have to increase speed. The pods are going critical allot faster than we thought.”
Riker was scared out of his mind. He can feel the pods begin to put allot of stress on his wings. He bears his teeth and closed his eyes. He just wanted to go back home and forget about the incident all together. He then hears something fly above him. He opens his eyes to see a giant starship flying above him. It then takes position in front of him and the shuttle doors open. He sees Discovery and Enterprise flying out. Dmitri was in a space suite and he was leaning out of Enterprise’s crew hatch with the phaser rifle in his hand. “Please help me” pleads Riker. “We will Riker, but you need to follow our instructions to the letter. We are going to get you safely home” says Discovery. John was on the bridge to monitor the situation. Just then a console then sends out an alarm. He then investigates. “Oh no. Discovery, Enterprise, you guys have about five minutes to get those pods off of him and get back inside. Once those pods go, they are going to go.” Discovery deployed her lasers and started to fly side by side with Riker. Dmitri takes aim through Enterprise’s crew hatch with a phaser rifle. “Dmitri on three, we will both fire.” “Understood Discovery, waiting for your mark” says Dmitri getting ready. “One………two……….THREE!!.” When Discovery said three; she then fires a maneuvering making her rotate towards Riker. She then fires right at the connection rod and hits it dead on. At the exact same time Dmitri then fires the phaser rifle and also destroys the connection rod. Voyager then uses a tractor beam to pull Riker in. The shuttles then land behind him and Dmitri closed the door. On the bridge the pods were starting to wobble and then started to go critical. The warp pods exploded. John diverted all power to the back shields and they rode the shockwave to the other side. Voyager comes out of warp and there right in front of them was the damaged satellite. They got it repaired and soon went back to earth. In the shuttle bay Riker broke down. “I’m sorry for all the mean things I did to you. You just save me and I treated you like garbage” he said crying. Discovery and Enterprise just looks at each other. They then rolled up to the front of him and they got his attention. “We forgive you.” They soon returned to earth.
They beamed Riker into his hanger where Chief David was. “You are in allot of trouble. I can’t even begin to tell you how foolish that was. You and your commander could have been killed. You’re grounded until further notice and you are going back to flight academy.” John comes walking in and gets the chief’s attention. “How can I help you, John?” “It seems to me that he needs allot more than going back to basics. Let’s face it. The drill instructors were not as fierce when we were there. I recommend he gets put on the Excelsior where he can get the proper training.” The Chief thinks about this, “An excellent idea. Riker you will report to Atlantis immediately for training.” “Yes, sir” replies Riker. A couple of hours later Riker was ready to go. He sees John and rolls up to him. He then hands him back the towel. “Thanks, you have been the only person kind to me.” “Hey, no problem, take care of yourself will you?” says John. Riker gives a nod and takes off. Discovery rolls up to him. “I think that is what he needed the most to change. A friend.” She then gives him a friendly nudge with her nose. Just then a black armored Humvee drove up to them. The Chief gets out and John and Discovery stands at attention. “At ease you two. I’ve got news that you are really going to like.” John and Discovery gave each other a confused look. “You two characters, are going to Top Gun” says the Chief. Both Discovery and John fainted. The Chief looks to the audience “and end scene V.”
