Lance and grinder have been officailly retired from the FF. They were given full honors and a very honorable discharge. They both were in the final operation of the FF that smashed the Backdraft to the ground and rendered them harmless. Lance and Grinder then went into retirement from the armed services. They later joined up with Fire and Rescue forces and converted their bombays to water storage units to help fight fires. They do have a unique concept and it works briliantly. They are much closer to home and these two tend to travel as a team rather than go it alone. These two work great as one and even in the thick of it they dont give up at all. To this day they fight fires all across the states.
